Who we are

The Hos-Erof Choir is the fruit of many who founded and helped into its existence on all levels: vocalists, musicians, talented deacons, gifted chanters, artistic graphers and dedicated marketers. God bless their service.

The main purpose of its creation is to present the Coptic Orthodox hymns in the best possible performance, raise awareness of this beautiful heritage, and encourage learning and preservation.

Our Church has protected this heritage for over 2000 years through prayers, fasting, and worshipping. Over the centuries, it has succeeded in conserving this rich and sacred heritage within the Orthodox Church. As we all know, the Coptic melodies are distinguished from others by their five dimensions:
  1. The theological dimension
  2. The spiritual dimension
  3. The ritual dimension
  4. The musical dimension
  5. The historical dimension
Based on this belief, we encourage everyone and every family to strive with us and invest all efforts to preserve this great heritage by motivating the children, the youth and the old to learn and practice these hymns.
We open the doors of the choir to everyone who finds in themselves a genuine desire, seriousness, and commitment to this service and wishes to be a part of our Hos-Erof choir to join us.
Hos-Erof Choir extends sincere thanks to H.G. Bishop Boulos, Bishop of our blessed diocese, for his continued support and backing of this service. Finally, we ask our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to bless this service of praise and allow it to spread and flourish throughout the world with the prayers of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Saint Mark.
