By the grace of God, and under the auspices of HG Bishop Boulos, a Governmental Relations and Public Affairs Committee has been formed to manage, organize and facilitate communications with the municipal, provincial, and federal governing bodies of Canada.
The mandate of the committee is to provide facts and information to the congregation as it pertains to political campaigns, laws, and by-laws affecting our community, support to our homeland, and involvement in the political arena without obliging or influencing anyone to vote for any party or candidate.
The committee collaborates with the clergy of all the churches of the Diocese to ensure the dissemination of any current initiatives, the invitation to and welcoming of dignitaries in the different geographical locations, the involvement of the congregation in any community event.
We pray for the unity of hearts and efforts under the wise guidance of HG Bishop Boulos and our fathers the priests.
